I intend to use an Arduino to control it

My main worry is that the servos are not sufficiently powerful to hold everything. The battery especially is quite heavy.

I have 3D printed the parts for the mechanical frame but it would easy to use a laser cutter to make them. There are only 3 main types of part: The 4 legs, the 2 formers to hold them and the body. Each leg contains one servo; each former contains 2 servos to lift the legs and the body attaches the 2 formers together and provides mounting for the battery, controller and any other bits you care to put on it.

Scuttler is a small robot based on servo motors.
